    Big expectations, big disappointment

Bearing in mind that this a very pricey place. The staff is composed by a group of very young girls. I suspect the reason why it’s because it’s cheap labour. We paid 67,50 Euros, per person, for a very poor tasting menu. We had to wait ages for the wines. Eventually the girl forgot to serve the red wine. No cheese options. When we arrived at the desserts buffet, they run out of one of the options. The girls had no proper knowledge of the wines they were serving. Most of the food’s tasty. I emailed a week before arriving asking for a quiet room. I was given a room downstairs with people upstairs. The ceilings and floors are made of wood so it’s very uncomfortable because of the noises if you’re downstairs. We found grape stalks on the floor. I had to use my own internet because the hotel internet signal’s very bad (specially if you’re pool side). The general decoration’s very pretentious, a bit on the “Nouveau Riche” side (why there’s a velour chair in the middle of the washroom?!). The pool area’s nice with beautiful views. The whole place looks very nice, outside. Nice gardens and the stone houses but some of the modern bungalows look suspiciously out of place. The positive note about this place it’s location.
